How do you become a christian comedian?

I know this is going to sound really dumn and every person will think i am the stupidest person in the world but here goes...ok heres the thing...i want to be a comedian but i have strong beliefs in christianity. How do you do clean jokes but still get people to laugh? I want to be a clean comedian but dont know how to do it. Also how do you get gigs if you are trying to be a christian stand up comic. do you go to clubs or churches?...where would you go?|||The 1st thing a christian should do it Pray!(1st Thessalonians 5:17) You need to ask God if this is what he would like you to do to serive hem best. If you think this is what he would like you to do then you need to ask God what to do next. Christian is all about putting you trust in God.|||YouTube Christian comedians. There are tons. First, pray about it and see if this is where He's leading you.

|||The best way to be a Christian comedian is to dress, act and talk just like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson or Robert Shuller. Just be full of yourself and speak of being full of the Lord. Pompus attitude is a must. Don't be afraid to ask for donations. Some will laugh and some will give. either way, it's a good thing! I already think you are hilarious, if that helps!|||You do realise that you have opened the floodgates for every SOB on YA to claim that all christians are comedians?

Great laugh on your first gig!|||ask the pope|||Learn from those who came before you. Check out http://cpr.321improv.com/ They are Christian, clean, and very funny. I recommend the tapes. You might find them encouraging as well as humorous.|||Become a preacher.|||There is a christian/family show with stand up comedians called "Bananas", i believe they have a website.|||Well.... so long as you are funny, you won't have to worry about compromising your beliefs. I think the problems these days is that many comdedians feel they have to use risky material and embarrassment to make people laugh. I am a Christian too, but I find I laugh at both clean and non clean comedians. Its all down to wit and timing.

Somebody here has said, become a preacher. That is a good way to go. You have a ready made audience. In fact, good successful preachers use a large amount of humour to get over their message anyway.|||A lot of ministries have christian teen clubs. A Friday or Saturday night of good ol' Christian entertainment. Contact your local teen ministries. Gotta start somewhere

Keepin it clean? I guess go for observational humor?

Wow.. I can't believe I kept my answer serious|||What a refreshing idea!!! Go for it. Go to churches. Call

pastors, set up a meeting, and give them a sample of your comedy. If you are good, word will get around, and you might just have more gigs than you can handle.
