How can Libertarians, Totalitarian Neocons and Christian Fundamentalists belong to the same party?

Libertarians are supposedly for small government, Neocons are for total control over the populace similar to a police state, and promote wars abroad and the associated high spending. Christian Fundies are supposed to be guided by the Bible (Christian morals ruling over every aspect of life, respect for the sanctity of life).

I cannot think of three more dissimilar groups. Yet all three are within the GOP. What do they have in common?|||Your assumptions are wrong. All those groups are for smaller government. You just listen to the liberal media too much.

While there are fractions of all groups that are extreme (left AND right), you can't define an entire group of millions of people based on the actions of a few.

Are all liberals for bombing animal research clinics? Are all liberals willing to shoot police because they don't like laws and want anarchy?

The Republican party most closely represents what those three groups want.

.|||Most libertarians belong to the libertarian party, not the republican party.|||We all hate neo-liberalism (socialism). Lesser of two evils theory...I would rather live in a neo-conservative Christian fundamentalist country, than a secular-athiest-socialist one.|||They choose the Bourgeois over the Proletariat. It's pretty much what dick jones said.|||I see you get your information from MSNBC. lol
