What were Judaism ideas and Christian ideas that contributed to the development to democracy?

How does the Judeo-Christian view of reason and faith, and the duties of the community contributed to the development of democratic thought?|||I think it's the belief that there's only one true god, and in front of god everyone is equal. Christianity did make the way to democracy much easier.
