What makes the Christian heaven so special when compared to other beliefs?

The germanic pagans believed in valhalla, for example, a place of endless feasting and glorious combat.

I believe there is one islamic sect that taught it's followers that paradise was a desert island surrounded by luxury and a harem of virgins, not that this is my idea of paradise.

But what makes the christian version so much better?|||I love this story.

A man died and went to Heaven. At the Pearly Gates, he was met by an angel whose job it was to take the man on a tour.

As they walked through Heaven, the man noticed Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jainists, and members of every religion on Earth. He even saw some Atheists. He also noticed that, in a remote corner of Heaven, there was a wall so high he couldn't see its top.

When the tour was over, the angel asked him if he had any questions. The man asked, "What's behind that wall way over there in the corner?"

The angel replied, "Oh, the Christians are behind that wall. They think they're the only ones up here.|||christian heaven is a haven of peace, love, . All there are like brothers and sisters who enjoyed what God has promised to the chosen one, a paradise where you can be with your love ones . All you can see is beautiful, like bed of roses, angels and querubins , singing and dancing , playing harps , trumpets , everything , No jealousy , no conflicts , but the contentment you never dream of .I wouldsay endless happiness , glorified and sanctified in simple words|||Its speak to no more physical sufferings, and peace among the nations. It does not speak of the to the ideals of man as much, like you said spending time eating, combat among fellows, or even sex which are all lusts of men, but I do believe those thing people do which are done for survival shall be done, like work,|||a glorified body, that will never get sick or be touched by pain at any extent.

to live in perfect awe, and peace and harmony with God, through Jesus Christ.

You will be reunited with all of your loved ones that have accepted Christ, and the ones who accepted Christ will be a closer family to you than your earthly friends or/and family.

you will be able to see God, and Jesus, and be able to even judge the nations, and angels.

Crowns shall be given to you.

the rivers will run eith milk and honey.

your body will thirst no more, be hungry no more, but you will feast, at the great supper table.

In glory you shall stay in for eternity.

No more grief, suffering, or tears will be present.

You will have your own mansion, in side God's mansion.

Jesus promises to make you a place in the Father's house.|||Because our idea of goodness is more special ,our view of the things has more value, read parable of the camel and the needle of Jesus.

Is in spanish in my blog, translate is easy to understand.

http://iqespiritual.netii/net/blog/|||Christian heaven has stronger clouds to support the 75% of them recently reported to be at least 20 pounds overweight. Which brings up a lot of other issues that are ignored in Christian Heaven.

That's why it's so great.|||Flying Spaghetti Monsterism's Heaven is full of beer volcanoes and stripper factories. I seriously doubt that Christianity can beat THAT...|||there is a point when you know that EVERYTHING in the holy bible is true. you just feel it and know it. when you turn your life over to Jesus you feel His power and pressense.|||Christians believe they are right, Muslims believe they are right, and all the other various pagan religions believe they are right. I don't see what you're getting at.|||Intellectual stupidity.|||You have to go by bible truths it's all we have|||Because it's true.|||because all the other beliefs are stupid|||Going with Naomi. it's the truth.|||because theyre stuck up|||The Bible.... the Word of God.... is the only Truth.

All others are a diversion created by the evil one.

Buddha never claimed to be God.

Moses never claimed to be Jehovah.

Mohammed never claimed to be Allah.

Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the true and living God.

Buddha simply said, "I am a teacher in search of the truth."

Jesus said, "I am the Truth."

Confucius said, "I never claimed to be holy."

Jesus said, "Who can convict me of sin?" Answer: no-one

Mohammed said, "Unless God throws his cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope."

Jesus said, "Unless you believe in me, you will die in your sins."

Socrates taught for 40 years, Plato for 50, Aristotle for 40, and Jesus for only 3. Yet the influence of Christ's 3-year ministry infinitely transcends the impact left by the combined 130 years of teaching from these men who were among the greatest philosophers of all antiquity.

Jesus is a man who was born in an obscure village, the Child of a peasant woman. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty, and then for three years He was an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself. He had nothing to do with this world except the naked power of His Divine manhood. While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a Cross between two thieves. His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth while He was dying鈥攁nd that was His coat. When He was dead He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Such was His human life鈥擧e rises from the dead. Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone and today He is the Centerpiece of the human race and the Leader of the column of progress. I am within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever were built, and all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that One Solitary Life.
