What is an atheist harassing a Christian about religion and a Christian harassing an atheist about religion?

Are they both harassing or do you think the other is trying to help the other? Should the atheist leave the Christian alone and why? Should the Christian leave the atheist alone and why? Why would each consider it harassment?|||Yes yes and yes.

People should rightfully respect each other - in a perfect world, but alas we don't live in a perfect world.

Too many nasty people in the world unfortunately.|||Arguing is a healthy thing... As long as the debate is about facts and the search for truth. t.I personally am Christian because I actually have historical evidence to back up what I believe. Not a theory with virtually no facts. Religion belongs in the realm of true history not science.

|||Watch Ancient Aliens. They are learning just now that the ancient people were more advanced and intelligent then we thought. The Bible holds clues. Anyone who is ignoring it is losing out. Also check out the history of Ancient Sumeria. It ties in with the bible. I am a Catholic who is not ignorant.

|||they should both leave each other alone. the atheist if he or she thinks truth must be known to further society, they ought to harass christians. if it doesnt work, just forget it. christians, i never witnessed any harassing but i assume you mean preaching the gospel. it should be but then if it doesnt work, they should move on. christians are called to love not to harass so any behavior youve witnessed, i apologize, they really want to acheive goodness but in the wrong way.|||Christians believe in the Bible, that it is the word of God and as such they are "instructed" by Jesus to 'spread the word of God' or some such nonsense. So they feel justified, more so in fact, that they are duty bound to bring their fellow humans into God's love. I am an atheist, so no doubt a learned Christian will correct me, but I believe that is the essence of it.

As atheists, for the most part we are placid and go about our business not trying to "convert" anyone to atheism. Personally, I feel this is letting the side down tremendously. Religion is the most destructive and counter productive force in the history of human civilization. It must be eradicated for the human race to prosper. As atheists it is our duty for the future of mankind to see common sense prevail. It is a fight with dim hope of success but it must be fought regardless.

So I guess Christians harass and Atheists passionately educate, or at least they should at every given opportunity.|||Some Christians have as part of their dogma that they must "witness". I myself find proselytizing to be wrong because I believe that everyone must find their own way to what is suitable for the Self. But I do have to say I am puzzled by the vehemence shown by many Atheists in this category. What would be the purpose of trying to convince someone that you think it is stupid to have beliefs in this on-going argument that is almost the entire content of this category? I understand defending ones right to believe whatever one chooses, but simply to ridicule, Why would someone bother?|||I fear the English language may be becoming extinct. The word religion simply means a belief held collectively by a group of people. The word religion does not simply mean a belief in a deity. By this proper definition atheism is a religion. So is money.|||me, an "atheist" would say "Live and Let Live"
