What would you reccomend for some good Christian fiction authors?

I've been reading a lot of books lately by Kathy Herman, Karen Ball, Karen Kingsbury, Lorena McCourtney, and I've read a lot of books by Melody Carlson. I'm really into reading Christian fiction. What are some good Christian fiction authors/books for reading?

Here lately I've been sort of getting into like mystery/suspense (but nothing really scary). Sometimes I like to read stuff about love but mostly just mystery/suspense.|||try this website: www.faithfulreader.com|||Karen Kingsbury and Melody Carlson are great authors. AND, I disagree with MindStorm, and I commend you on being careful with what you allow to influence you. :)

|||Here in the US the label Christian Fiction has actually become a brand name identifying work produced by publishers who pay an association, the CBA (created in 1950 by the then Baptist Bookstores) to produce very targeted fiction. Find general market authors who are Christian for non-targeted work.

|||I think you should go outside your comfort zone and open your mind up to some different kinds of fiction books. Only reading "Christian" fiction is like somebody only reading books with vampires in them. You are really limiting yourself.

You're not ready for "The Golden Compass" yet but maybe check out "Becca Cooper" by Tamora Pierce.

If you're too scared to go outside your zone then read the "Forever Angels" series by Suzanne Weyn.|||his work is not mystery /suspense, but it's still good. c.s. lewis, he made the chronicles of narnia and the screwtape letters.
