With a mostly christian population, why is America so secular and afflicted with serious morality problems?

It seems that with such a large christian population constantly praying and chanting, "god bless america," this country shouldn't be having such serious morality problems. Atheists and members of non-christian faiths are comparatibely a minority so they couldn't be that influential. What gives?|||For one thing, some of those who claim to be Christians ( especially in Gallup polls and the like ) are in reality just "pretend" Christians in the fact that they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, have no idea of what it takes to enter into the Kingdom of God, think that just being a "good person " is enough, etc, etc. Also, the enemy and his minions have many people blinded to God and the Truth of Scripture|||America secular? no i don't think so. also, it's members of the government body that counts|||If America is Christian, then Saudi Arabia is Hindu.|||Excellent question!

The church as a whole is called a "sleeping giant". The sleeping giant is just now starting to stir.

It better wake up.|||pride my son, pride!,the same problem since the beggining, the number one reason why some of my children go into hell is because they want things their own way and not my way.,practice the holy rosary, practice makes perfect,we love you all,the holy family.|||Your premise is flawed in that it is not a "mostly" Christian population. Most "Christians" define themselves as such only as a default. They are Christian in name only, and not in deeds or behaviour.
